My father's visit

My father arrived here in Taiwan about 2 weeks ago. This Thursday he will head back to the US. It has been a fun visit. We didn't do much tourist stuff, mostly just checked out the local life and the sorts of things tourists rarely get to do or see.

My father wrote some interesting little journals to send back in e-mails, I asked him and he said it's okay for me to post those on my blog here. I took some video , but actually not a whole ton of it, we were too busy having fun. I did get some good stuff though, so I will be excited to use that.

Here are some photos to tide you over before the video gets finished:

Pei Xin + Internet

I met my MSN buddy Pei Xin today. She used to teach me some Chinese online, she has really good english, actually sounds like a California girl sometimes, haha! We went to eat and then just hang out in my house a little bit. I felt a little sad though because I was still a little sick, so I don't think i was as energetic as usual, haha. Also I didnt shave for a while and wore my glasses and a hat, so I think I looked bad too- haha! Oh well, its not important. She told me she had fun, so that's good. She had to drive her scooter for 1 hour so I feel a little bad about that too, I will go visit her place sometime.

I got my internet and phone line installed today. Seems like a fast connection, it is DSL at 100mbps. I will be online often so I am happy about that.

Right now I am feeling tired so maybe I will sleep soon. I told my mom I would talk to her on Skype tomorrow night at 9 so I need to remember that!

1 more day...

One more day in the USA. I am almost done packing. I keep adding and removing things from my luggage. I need to make sure the weight is okay. Also don't want to put things in the wrong bag.

You can't carry one any sharp objects or liquids these days. I also need to make sure I don't wear too much metal things, easier to not wear a belt, don't carry change or keys in your pocket, keep it in your bag.

My step-sister gave me some Taiwanese currency for my Christmas gift, it is a really wonderful thing because I can use that to pay for taxi and maybe the bus too, really useful!

Well I gave my TV to my grandma today. She will get my computer monitor as well after I leave. I am glad I got to see most of my friends and relatives before leaving to Taiwan.

I have been inputting many of my Online Taiwanese friend's adresses in my google maps. I saved their locations along with their phone numbers, that will make it easy for me to contact them if i need some help.

Well I better sleep soon. Here is a cute music video for you to watch, makes me feel happy when i am tired:
