An American makes plans to move to Taiwan.

Feeling a little sick today.

Not to worry anyone but I am feeling sick.

I think I am just not used to the different time (jet lag) the different air quality (dirty, haha) and the food (i am not eating cereal for once in my life)

I feel a little better now that it rained, I can just walk and breath the fresh cold air.

I will make sure to drink a lot of liquids and keep hydrated and all that.

The food is really cheap and tastes good. There is a local market that my Lessor took me to, she is so nice to me, that is Benjamin's Mom Maria. Now some of the vendors know me. One of them gave me some extra food today too- that was sweet. I need to remember those kind of things, makes me feel more happy.

Even though I don't speak much chinese I think people are really helpful to me! I didn't know my chinese still sucks so bad though, haha!

Hunt old me about the blog, so here I am.
I'm sure it's tough, but you'll get used to it. And I know how much it sucks to not have people to show things too, you're all about that! You know that they will come eventually, you're pretty adept at making new friends in a short amount of time, and people will be eager to meet you and help you out since you're not a local. And not black. And a ghost. Just hang in there.
Also, I was thinking about you feeling a little down - a phone would help tons, but I know you and I bet it would help you to do something creative and productive. Keep filming and editing, and maybe even do some "a-sketches" or think about making a template for your blog like we did in class Senior year.
In the mean time, I'll say it.

"Ian, Ian, Ian."

Are you in Taipei of have you already made the trip down to Taichung?

Yeah, the first couple months are going to be tough...

I imagine the New Year is either going to help or confuse your situation...if you can land a job before the New Year that would good - once Feb 7th rolls around...Taiwan will be closed!
